[NEWS] Atari Files For Bankruptcy; Everything Up For Sale

In an effort to gain independence from significant debt accumulated by French holding company Atari, SA, the US-based Atari, Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company plans to sell all of their available assets within the next 90 to 120 days, including the iconic brand logo, and historic franchises Pong, Asteroids, and Centipede, among many others.

Atari intends shift their focus away from console titles in order to create games for mobile platforms, most notably an upcoming RollerCoaster Tycoon game announced for iOS and Android.
