[NEWS] You Have 48 Hours to Sign Up for the Guild Wars 2 Beta

If you’d like to get in on some early Guild Wars 2 action, you’ll need to be hasty. As of now, you can submit an application for the beta at the sign-up page, but you only have 48 hours to do so. At 1 P.M. on Friday, February 24, the sign-up page will be shut down.

The application process, you should know, isn’t as simple as punching in your email and hitting go, although it isn’t overly complicated either. Developer ArenaNet is requiring everyone to submit their hardware specifications as part of the sign-up process. Those who get accepted will have to sign a nondisclosure agreement as well.

Guild Wars 2 is expected to be released in 2012, with a console version coming out at some point as well according to publisher NCsoft. Unlike some other MMOs that you may have heard about, Guild Wars 2 will not require a monthly fee.
