Not much to say other than enjoy the teaser trailer below. As someone who is in love with the idea of most Cyberpunk tropes, and The Witcher series, I can say that I’m on board for this. Hopefully, the finished game will have a better soundtrack that incorporates the inevitable sound of the future — dubstep.

[NEWS] CD Projekt RED announces Cyberpunk RPG

The developer of The Witcher series had some great news today during its yearly summer conference. Not only has The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings sold more than 1.7 million copies across the PC and Xbox 360, but the Polish developer also announced a brand new Cyberpunk RPG.

Details on the game are sparse, but what we do know is it will contain a non-linear narrative, several varied classes, and Mike Pondsmith’s pen-and-paper RPG system. Unfortunately, no release date or platforms were announced.

If you’ve been keeping up with The GameSparked Podcast, you’d know that The Witcher games have been a hot topic for the past few months, and I absolutely can’t wait to see more from CD Projekt RED, especially if it’s an original title.

Also, if you haven’t played The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings because you don’t own a PC, or an Xbox 360, then you, and Damian, may be in luck very soon! The game is releasing in Japan on August 23, and will be coming to the Mac sometime this Fall.
