[NEWS] Wii U Price and Release Date Revealed

So, if you were like me, you were tirelessly waiting to find out how much you’d have to lose, and when, for the Wii U. Well, wait no longer, as Nintendo has finally revealed the most important details: price and release date.

At Nintendo’s New York event, it was announced that the Wii U will be launching on November 18. It was also revealed that two different sets will be made available for purchase. The sets are as follows:

• The Basic Set will run for $299.99, and comes with a Wii U, Game Pad, AC Adaptor, HDMI cable, sensor bar, and 8GB of internal storage. 
• The Premium Set, on the other hand, is priced at $349.99, and will come bundled with everything above, in addition to a Game Pad cradle, a Game Pad charging cable, NintendoLand, 32GB of internal storage, and enrollment in a new premium service that will score you points for every purchase you make. Those points can then be used for future purchases.

Nintendo also announced a new service called TVii, which is Nintendo’s big step into an entertainment system. It makes it easy to search, purchase, and play content on any of the available services. The Game Pad can be used for taking screenshots of what you’re watching, and posting them on Facebook or Twitter.

Nintendo also shared new information that Project P-100, a really awesome Wii-U title, has been renamed The Wonderful 101. I personally couldn’t be more happy with the name. It was also announced that Nintendo will be publishing Bayonetta 2, making the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Platinum Games’ joint a Nintendo-exclusive.
