[NEWS] Mists of Pandaria Launches September 25

Mat Paget

As far as I’m concerned, pandas are awesome. And I’m probably the only one who was actually excited when Blizzard pulled that April Fools’ Joke, and introduced the Pandaren race. Well, even though I don’t play World of Warcraft any longer, and don’t plan to any time soon, players will be happy to know that the latest expansion, Mists of Pandaria, will be available pretty soon.

Blizzard announced today that the panda-themed add-on to their seven year-old MMO will go for $39.99, but if you’re one for collecting things, there are options for Collector’s ($79.99 CAD), and Digital Deluxe ($59.99) editions. The Collector’s Edition is joined by a Behind-the-Scenes DVD and Blu-ray, a physical copy of the soundtrack, a mouse pad, and an art book. But that’s not it: it will also come with StarCraft II Battle.net portraits, and a banner sigil with Pandaren markings for Diablo III. The Digital Deluxe comes with the digital offerings that the Collector’s is touting.

The expansion includes a new race, Pandaren; a new class, Monk; new Talent Specification; and much more that can all be seen here.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will be available on September 25, and is available for pre-purchase on Blizzard’s official site.
